Today's picture is a painting I just finished about two minutes ago of the view from Morse' Mountain, Maine. It is still wet and I shouldn't have framed it but I did and now it will be permanently stuck in that frame forever. That's fine with me because I love it in that little frame!
The painting itself is only 4.75 x 1.75" and it was harder for me to work small than I thought it would be. This is a gift for a friend's birthday (along with some other cool things I bought her). She and I have been up to the top of Morse's Mountain before so I'm hoping she'll recognize it from the painting.
Things are slowing down a bit around here. My lobster fishermen have been home a lot and I haven't been able to paint as much as I would like but I know there will be lots of time to paint all winter when we get to our secluded little island in Florida a mile from Old Homosassa. It's beautiful there and a very inspirational place to paint.
I'm only going to have my boy around for about another month then he's moving away to NYC to live with his long time girlfriend. I'm going to miss him even more this time I think than when he went away to school before.
Can't believe it's almost noon. Got a lot accomplished yesterday. Better get going today or I'll get nothing else done. More later.
