Today's painting is the first large painting I ever made. It is a triptych (three panel) scene of a private location in Small Point, Maine. It measures 60x24 overall and was made with oils on stretched, framed canvas. I painted all three panels at the same time with sweeping brush strokes overlapping from one canvas to the other. It is very soft and serene.
So, I finally managed to put my paints aside so I could get ready for year end. It seems early, but by the time I get all the licenses updated and renewed, all the filing done, and all the prep work for the accountant it will be closer to year end than one could imagine.
Still listening to my Stephen King audiobook Under the Dome. Quite interesting and lots of characters. Still not the same as curling up with a real book, though. More later.
