 Spinney's Restaurant

Spinney's Restaurant is still open for a few more weeks - until the last Sunday of this month.  Yesterday we had a nice turnout for lunch. It was cold but sunny and the waves were fairly spectacular at Popham Beach. Nice and cozy inside. Pretty views outside.

Not headed to Florida for another few months. This should give me time to catch up with a lot of things I'd like to do. Really want to  make some quilts for babies. I have three or four in mind I should make. I used to make a lot of quilts and give them away. I've given 25 away so far. Big quilts, baby quilts, lap quilts, specialty quilts, patchwork quilts,  boy's quilts, girl's quilts, you name it. They are a lot of fun to make.

Well today is day 22 without a cigarette. Yesterday and the day before were the hardest two days so far. Go figure. I would think all the nicotine would be out of my system by now but I guess not yet. I am getting a lot of support from my twitter followers and I really think that's what is keeping me from buying another pack of cigarettes.

I haven't been doing much painting lately. Of course I was sick for almost three weeks. That's the longest I've ever been sick in my life. Had flu then a bronchial infection on top of it. I don't ever want that again! Felt horrible. At least I quit smoking and lost five pounds. Apparently there really is a silver lining in every dark cloud.

Well, need to go bake bread. Making a ham, sweet potatoes, rice, turnip, carrots, something green,  celery with cream cheese , and squash pie. Most of it's done. Then I'll need a nap!  More later.
