Finally, a computer of my own again! No money down! Anna's dad, Ted, gave us his old MacIntosh they weren't using any more. I can even go online with it and it is so familiar to me because it's what I used for years already. Love Zack dearly, but sharing a computer with a 16 year old is like sharing a car with anyone. Not always fun. He is so advanced, too, that I hate to even go on his computer because I'm afraid I'll mess something up.

Everything is well. Cloudy day. Zack had fun setting it up the computer we were given and checking out all the games Ted left on it.

Just finished supper. Steak. Can't get enough of it. Had it last night, too. Craving protein. Afternoon drinking episode that really depleted my system. Haven't been real disciplined about keeping track of calories and smokes but I'm doing okay. Have still kept off the five pounds I lost. Need to get out walking again. Went yesterday, but not today. More later.

Oh, I talked to Lou (H&R Block) about how difficult it might be to do accounts for my own business. She said it is the same thing I am doing for Frank now. In, out, and sales tax. She was very encouraging! She has made such a huge success of her business I look to her as a mentor. Love successful women! I want to make lots of money!

Still freezing here. It's 4:30 in the morning and I've been up since 2:30. Fell asleep on the couch early because I didn't have a siesta. Really need to get one every day or I just can't make it past 9:00 p.m.

Nothing happening. Well, almost nothing. I went to two yard sales yesterday (in the middle of February!) and found some good things. Five flower pins from the 70s I paid $2-3 each for that are worth about $20 each. Also a few little dishes that are old and probably worth more than the10 to 25 cents I paid for them.

Tried to set up an accounting program but not sure if it is what I want. I used a spreadsheet but don't think it's specific enough.

Tried the cabbage soup diet but just can't seem not to cheat. Walked three miles day before yesterday. But, yesterday it was just too cold to go out other than to feed Carol's cats for her while she is in Florida with Buddy.

Heard from Cindy yesterday. She is in Missouri and it is cold there, too. Was beautiful after she left there. Figures!

Zack's doing okay. Anna will probably come over today. They must be so bored. I remember when I was that age. It sucked. Think they'll probably get a place this summer together in the Portland area.

Someone just said on the radio we may see more snow. The high today is going to be 12. Nice, huh? More later.

Finally, a warm, sunny day! It must be up over freezing because things are melting. Good thing, too, because if they weren't we'd be buried in snow until July. Got another 10” the other night. It came slowly all day long. Didn't think it would end. Picked a doozy of a winter to stay in Maine, but Zack is doing well, so that's what is what really counts. He's much happier with Mom at home.

Todd (a neighbor) showed up after the storm on his four wheeler with a plow attached. It was quite a site. Took a picture but not sure how it will come out. Oxen for tow trucks in Costa Rica and 4-wheelers for plows in the Burg. I don't know.

Frank and I got some firewood so we can hang out in the cottage a little. I'm having cabin fever. Spring can't come soon enough for me. We are healthy, happy, and all is well, so I really should stop complaining. More later. Too nice to stay inside.
