Rocks, Pines, Sea, Maine

Today's picture is one of my latest paintings. This one is a thick acrylic worked on wood. I put gobs and gobs of paint on the board and let it half dry before manipulating it with a pin. I really like the way this way turned out. It is 5x7.

I never used to think you could paint thick acrylics but my son told me one time not long ago that if you let them dry a bit you can do quite a bit with them. I like swirling and dripping paint around, too as I like the swirly effects it gets when the paint does its own thing.

Not much happening lately. Got kitten reports on the twin black kittens we gave away. They ended up living next door to each other and play together every day. Their owners ADORE them. I knew they would. We feel good about the fact they are both together yet kings of their own castles so to speak.

Winding down on the painting as we probably will be headed back to Maine before too long. Have been swimming a few times but it's not nearly as sunny as I would prefer. Checking the temps in Costa Rica and it is hovering right around 100 there lately. That may be a bit too hot. Is there no happy medium?

Well, back to the island with supplies for another week. Hoping it stays nice so we can go for a swim when we get back. Oh, had some awesome blue crabs the other day steamed over the barbeque. Yum, yum! More later.
