Painting Art at The Barn Gallery in Maine

Aug 15, 07:17 AM

I've been up to my new Barn Gallery painting. I love the ambiance there. It is the place where the Captain and I first met so it's a special place for me. I'll be all done waitressing at Spinney's Restaurant on Popham Beach next Thursday so by next weekend I'll have the barn open regularly for business. Having some other Phippsburg artists bring their art in, too. This is going to be so much fun :)

The Captain has gone tuna fishing today. I sure hope they get one. Some of the local guys have been getting a few and the money has been good. Captain used to be one of the highliners in the tuna fleet. It's been awhile since he's gone but I'm sure he hasn't lost  his touch.

The new kitty (Ibby) is doing fine. Eating on his own now. I'm loving having this little one around. He's such a blast to play with.

Off to paint art this morning. Picking blackberries first so I can sell some at the barn today. Stop by and say hello if you are in the area. You'll see my signs up on Route 209 and Parker Head Road if you're headed down the Phippsburg peninsula. I'm just a half a mile in from either road on the Sam Day Hill (Transfer Station) Road. I'll be open from 10-4 today. Have a happy, safe day. More later.

  1. I think it is great that you are concentrating on your artwork. I had an idea about a project that would combine your artwork and your past work at Spinney’s. Why don’t you design and edit a cookbook for the restaurant? They could sell it there and at gift shops in the area and you could take a cut of each one. They must have a lot of recipes that could be put in it and it could be a good money maker….
