Today's picture is a painting I made yesterday. It is a depiction of a sunset in Phippsburg, Maine. We have the most beautiful sunsets imaginable in Phippsburg. I really enjoyed painting this one.
I finished a few other paintings yesterday that I had started previously. I usually finish an entire painting in one sitting but I had a few that I only had backgrounds for and wanted to finish. I have a fairly good collection now and more than enough for my art show in August. That doesn't mean I'll stop painting, though. In fact, I'm thinking of joining that group of artists that paints each and every day. I believe I'd like to do that :)
Pouring outside, fog, lightening, thunder. Seems more like a tropical storm than a Maine storm. Our garden needs it so there'll be no complaints from me. I do hope it stops before I go to work tonight at Spinney's, though. Not many people like to come out in the pouring rain.
Introduced the baby bird to the cats yesterday. That went well. Now if I can teach the cats not to eat the bird when I turn my back I'll be doing well. The birdie is trying to fly already but doesn't have enough tail feathers yet. Not sure what I'll do when it starts flying around! Took it outside and am trying to teach it to find it's own food so it will survive on its own when we let it go free.
Well, I do believe another coffee is in order, then back to painting my art. Have a wonderful day, everyone. More later.
