Today I got all the posters hung for my first ever Art Show and Sale in Phippsburg on Saturday and Sunday, July 31 and August 1, 2010. There will be several other local artists showing with me and I am thrilled to be giving them the opportunity to bring their art to the public.
I also just found out that I can show the hand carved decoys made by West Point lobster and tuna fisherman Gary Wallace. I love his work and own some of his pieces myself.
Also completed the advertisements for the show and just emailed the pdfs of those out to the Coastal Journal, the Fishermens Voice, and the Bath/Brunswick Times Record. Can't wait to see the actual ads in print.
Now to focus on finishing the barn and setting up for the show! This is all a lot of hard work and very exciting. Not as much time to paint this month as I would like but I'm sure there will be plenty of time for that this winter. More later.
