Hello World! I've been painting again. This time on a rather remote island about a mile from Old Homosassa, Florida. Trust me it's not as glamarous as it sounds as I am pretty much camping. It is extremely conducive to long days spent doing nothing but whiling away the hours painting, however, which suits me just fine.
The first painting is Monkey Island and Riverside Resort. This is a great place and if you've never been there you should def go for a visit. The second painting is of crab fishermen passing the mansion on the Homosassa River. The third is the Shrimp Docks and shrimping boats at "Dunk's" place in Old Homosassa. As you can see from my paintings this is a very picturesque and beautiful place to hang around.
The weather has been very cold. So cold I have threatened to leave the new kittens with my best friend who has a winter place just down the road and go to Costa Rica for a month while it warms up here. We've had a fire going almost every night for two weeks and more cold weather expected tonight. A few day have warmed up a bit and there sure hasn't been any snow, so I'll take it over shoveling any day of the week. I love Maine all the time but I can leave her for awhile in the winter for the wilds of Florida.
Anxious to get the chores done and get back to Puffy, my mama cat with three five-day-old kitties I left on the island. They are in the hunting camp and can't get into any trouble as we've made them a special place to be. Puff's being a great mama cat and we plan on keeping one of the kittens. I have takers for the other two. We aren't sure yet which one we want to keep. Likely the one she seems most attached to after a few months. She has two solid black ones and one solid white one. Pretty cool indeed.
Keep in touch with my boy in Brooklyn via his girlfriend's twitters. Love being able to know what's going on with them without being too invasive. Miss him a bunch already. Not ready to paint the city yet, though. Maybe in the spring ... More later!
