So today I got the inspiration to paint on my deck as it is a beautiful day in Maine. I pretty much just painted the view from my house minus our dock and my little paint studio. I painted this oil on canvas from the deck and it also has thick gobs of paint swirled into the rocks and trees. I like the way this one came out. It is a rather large painting at 16x40" and I didn't let the size of it intimidate me at all.
I am supposed to be at Spinney's Restaurant, Popham Beach, working in about a half an hour and I still have paint on my fingernails. I also have a ham in the oven for my Maine lobster fishermen who are going to be home soon. I need to get going. More later.
