Malaga Island Sunset - November Sky

This is an unedited picture of the sky just 10 minutes ago overlooking the south side of Malaga Island, Maine. I swear  we get some of the best sunsets in the World arond here this time of year.

I have been painting quite a bit lately and am excited to start painting some snaller works in watercolors this winter in Florida. I want to do a lot more studying also and I have plenty of time to do that on our quiet little island off Old Homosassa.

In addition to studying art  I have set a goal for myself to learn German this winter. I know quite a bit already and had a lot of German customers at the restaurant this past season so I think it will serve me well to know enough to converse with them next year.

The Guggenheim Museum is following me now on Twitter which is quite an honor. They only follow about ten percent of the people who follow them so I feel very lucky to be included.

I'm going to Portland tomorrow to buy some more painting supplies. Want some smaller canvases (maybe 5x5) to work with this winter. I will likely work in oil as well while in Florida and see about putting some small pieces for sale at a little shop that just opened  last year.

A special thank you to all of our veterans and those in the armed forces who work so hard to protect us and keep our freedoms. Freedom is not free as those who sacrifice each day to keep us that way well know. Thank you for serving your country.

Well, I'm cooking supper and I need to go check on it. Breaded pork chops, cellophane noodles, corn on the cob and apple pie. I am thankful for the good food we have and for being able to spend a good amount of my time creating art. More later.
