Along the Road to Popham Beach%2C Maine

Here is my latest painting. It's titled Along the Road to Popham. This is that last sharp curve just before the marsh and entrance to Popham Beach State Park. I'm also working on a painting of a guy fishing off Popham Beach and another of the late Dutch Albertson's place at the Tide Hole in Sebasco, Maine. Have three or four other projects going, too, including paintings of NYC for my show next year at the Stadler Gallery in Maine. And to think a year ago I couldn't paint more than one thing at a time!

Finished up a website last week for a client who has yet to give me final approval to promote it to the public. Love the way it came out and excited to share it with everyone. I'll give the owner a call today to see if it's a go or not. Wait until you see it, you'll love it!

Painted all day yesterday at the barn then even got a chance to pick a quart of blackberries late in the afternoon. It was a beautiful day and is supposed to be even better today. The captain's gone tunafishing again so I am thinking when the tide comes up this afternoon I'm going kayaking at the crick. I might even decide to take it out in the ocean if the wind is calm. Getting braver every day!

Had a wonderful visit with my mom yesterday when she stopped by the gallery. She gave me a beautiful hand blown glass pendant (necklace) with a pretty blue flower inserted in it. Need to find out who is making these so I can sell them at the barn as soon as I get my business license. She had three of them and they were all different and so well made. I think I know who designed them but have to find out for sure.

Well, a bit more networking then I'm headed up to the barn to paint art. I am so glad I made this decision to paint full time. I miss Spinney's but I LOVE painting. It is so much not like work! More later.
