Today's picture is one I took just before daylight this morning from my upstairs bedroom window. The moon was setting over Malaga Island in Maine and it was incredible. That's my Crab Shack art studio in the lower center of the photo and the corner of my house in the upper right corner. I took a bunch of photos and I'm sure there are a few fantastic ideas for paintings among them. That's one thing about the camera - you can capture short moments in time and hold on to them until you have a chance to capture them in paint.
I kind of ruined a painting yesterday. I salvaged half of it and the ruined half became something whole again but I still kind of wish I hadn't touched it in the first place. At least I have a nice photo of it. The hardest part of painting is, indeed, knowing when to stop :)
Puffy looks like she is ready to have kittens any day now. I'm keeping her inside so she doesn't hide them somewhere outside as the weather is turning colder now.
Lots to do in preparation for going away this winter. I'm still not convinced it's going to be warm enough in Florida. I want to go to Costa Rica, that's all there is to it. Seems every time I check the weather on the island it's almost the same as in Maine. No sense to leave if it isn't any warmer than here! More later.
