Here we have a painting I finished yesterday in between cooking for the Captain and heading for work at Spinney's, Popham Beach. It is a mixed media acrylic on wood panel incorporating seaglass, shells, and sand. It was inspired by an old friend who is visiting. These are items collected near the beach where her father lived for many years.
I heard from http://www.stadlergallery.com yesterday and am looking forward to a trip there next week to show the owner some of my paintings. I have a show next year at her gallery and will be painting larger works of oils and mixed media on canvas in preparation for that. I'm thrilled to have such a terrific time slot for next year's show - June 26 - July 15, 2011. Peak tourist season :)
