Lobster Fishing off Malaga Island%2C Maine - Andrea Brand Art

Lobster Fishing off Malaga Island, Maine yesterday morning was this young descendent of the King of Malaga. His ancestors date back to the beginnings of Maine and his family has fished these waters now for about 10 generations. He had his trusty dog with him as a deckhand. This is definately the subject of my next painting! Can you believe I catpured that seagull right as it was flying over? Perfect.

Little chilly in Maine this morning. We've had four spectacular days of sunshine and blue skies. The beaches were filled with visitors and locals all weekend and I had a great time waitressing down at Spinney's Restaurant, Popham Beach.

The Captain got the windows in the barn and now it looks like I'll be painting that side as te paint we used didn't quite match once it dried. Also will be painting my logo on the side of the building and cleaning things up for my upcoming art show (my first ever) this July 31-August 1 in Phippsburg.

Lots to do today and art awaits. More later.

  1. Love this picture! I just posted a picture on my facebook page of the Murphy house that used to be on Black’s Landing. My Dad grew up near there!
