Today we have one of my latest thick abstract paintings titled Green Sea. This one was started last year and is very, very textured and includes string. It is an acrylic on canvas board. Finished it recently and love the way it came out.
Well, the Captain finished installing windows at the barn where I'm having my first ever art show and sale this coming July 31-August 1 on the Sam Day Hill Road in Phippsburg, Maine. I'm so looking forward to it. There is so much light in the barn now I may start using it as an art studio. Hard to leave the house, though , since it's right on the water and the barn is a bit more inland. Love both properties, though and will likely paint anywhere I can.
The garden is lovely. Lettuce and radishes almost ready. If we get enough rain we should have a fantastic crop of wild berries this year. Hoping there is an abundance so I can sell some at the art show. Sold wild Maine blueberries last year at Spinney's Restaurant, Popham Beach in adorable hand made boxes. People loved them.
Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful fathers out there. I think I have he best one in the world. Talked to him this morning and he's doing fine. Wish he lived a litte closer but he's happy living the retired life on his cattle ranch in PA. Also running his little store where he sells the beef he raises. This is his idea of retirement. Grows his own hay and built his own barn, too. Yeah, they broke the mold when they made my old man. More later.
