Just another beautiful day in paradise! Today's picture is a photo I took recently of a Bird's Eye View of Popham Beach, Maine with the cannon in front of Percy's General Store in the foreground. Look at all those people having a blast at the beach.
My first ever art show was a huge success. We had so much fun and sold lots of art. I sold 12 original paintings, four prints and four seaglass sculptures. The other artists all sold lots of their work, too. We must have had over 100 people stop by the barn. The feedback was very positive and I plan on making this an annual event with lots more artists next year and for about a week instead of a weekend next time. The best part was when one of the board members from Five Rivers Arts showed up with his camera and started taking pictures. So glad I'm on their radar. Going to become a member today!
The little kitty is doing great. I've decided to name him Ibby. He is just adorable and starting to cruise around the house and explore everything. My eight month old kitty, Blackie, doesn't know what to make of him yet. It's really funny watching the two of them together. Don't think Blackie has figured out yet that Ibby is a kitty, too :)
I think I'll head up to the barn this morning and do some painting. It's been way too long since I've done any and I miss it terribly. Will likely put out my open sign just in case someone wants to stop by and have a look at some of the paintings I didn't sell over the past weekend. There are tons of tourists in town. Spinney's was slamming last night.
