Birding in Maine

Canada-Geese

Birding in Phippsburg, Maine is spectacular. All one has to do is look around to find some of the most fantastic wildlife imaginable. I shot this photo yesterday morning as a whole family of Canada Geese were passing by the house at the mouth of the New Meadows River. There are an abundance of shorebirds in Phippsburg and a list of some of the birds one might encounter while in Phippsburg are listed under the wildlife tab at my http://www.phippsburg.info website.

Well, the barn is coming along nicely for my first ever art show and sale this coming July 31 and August 1. I painted one side yesterday and will be painting my logo on it next. I still have some cleaning to do inside then comes the fun part of hanging my art and having the other artists who are going to show with me come up and see which sections they want for display of their art. Plan on getting together w/everyone in a few weeks.

Spinney's Restaurant has been busy and I've been working night shift. I love night shift but tend to get up later and later each day which is rather foreign to me as I usually am up by 5:00 a.m. We were slammed last night and it's wonderful to see so many people enjoying the Phippsburg peninsula.

Need to start setting some time aside at least two or three times a week for painting art. I miss it terribly when I don't make time for it and would really like to eventually treat it like any other job where I go to my studio and work on some form of art even if not actually painting each day. I have a bunch of old National Geographics I'm saving and am anxious to start working on a large collage. Thinking of something along the lines of fish, fishing, boats, coasts, Maine, sealife, or some combination of those.

Well, work just called and would like me to go in early. Sure glad I slept in! Now I'm ready to go again. LOL. More later.
