Here's what I'm working on now. This is going to be titled Fishing, Popham Beach, Maine when I get through with it. I am painting it on an old piece of wood with notched sides from an antique dresser drawer. I thought the sides looked tacky so I looped some fishing line around the notches and it came out very nautical. Going to try to finish this one today as I got sidetracked yesterday.
Blackie, our pretty little 8 month old kitty, went to get fixed yesterday. Captain says three cats is enough and we can't have any more. Since he's paying to feed and care for them I guess I can't argue with that. I realized the other day I've always loved having pets. When I was little I had horses, dogs, cats, birds, fish and bunnies. I do love horses but can't afford to keep one anymore. They cost a fortune!
Going to be 90 today in Maine. This summer has been one of the best weather-wise I can ever remember. Going kayaking late this afternoon. Just started this year and I love it. Not much else going on right now. Waiting for receipt from notification to my last abuttor so I can proceed with getting my business permit for the Barn Gallery I'm opening in Phippsburg. Using it as my studio now but want to be able to open it up to the public and show other local artists' work as well. More later.
